Anthony T. HincksYou don't make money from peace. You make money from wars!
About This Quote
The saying that you don't make money from peace. You make money from wars! is commonly attributed to Benjamin Franklin, but no one knows when or where he actually said it. The best evidence suggests that the phrase was originally written by John Ueber in 1738, but scholars have yet to find an original source dating back to Franklin’s time. There are only a few known instances of this saying in print, so it seems likely that, if Franklin really did say it, he made it up himself.
